Jasmine was born in Valais, Switzerland. Jasmine received the first scholarship of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation in 1993 to study dance at the private Geneviève Chaussat Ballet School of Classical Dance in Geneva. From 2000 - 2002, Jasmine received a second scholarship to study contemporary dance at the renowned Rotterdam Dance Academy in the Netherlands. Since then, Jasmine is a choreographer of international success, and also since 2004 a member of Co. Minako Seki in Berlin. Her choreography of Eppur si Scende had a successful run in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and in Switzerland. Her next world premiere Marvin will take place in the long-established Rigiblick Theater in Zurich. The Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation supports the staging costs of both productions in Switzerland. Switzerland 2007: As part of the event Tanz>Faktor>Interregio '07 Jasmine performs her choregraphy Frozen in March at the Sudhaus Warteck Basel, in April at the Plattform Tanz at the Theater am Gleis, Winterthur, and in May at Festival Chiassodanza at the Cinema Teatro in Chiasso, in July at the Festival Neuchâtel Scène Ouverte. Jasmine's choreography Joy of Hell takes place at the Concours Premio in May in Aarau. In 2008, Jasmine and her dance company Prototype Status go on tour with her new dance piece Série B at the Théâtre du Grütli, Geneva, Rote Fabrik, Zurich and Printemps de Sévelin, Lausanne. Her dance piece Marvin is performed at the festival Connection in Aarhus, Denmark. In July the premiere Karussell takes place at the i-camp/neues theater Munich. In November the dance evening Carrousel has its premiere at the Théâtre de l’Orientalin in Vevey. 2010, the award-winning Swiss choreographer Jasmine Morand and her company Prototype Status show two of her pieces for the second time at the i-camp in Munich: Marvin and Aquarium. |
