- The Pierino Ambrosoli
Foundation was founded
in Zurich on 10th
of May 1990. Daniela
Marcacci Ambrosoli
dedicated the Foundation
to her father Pierino
Ambrosoli and her
mother Sonja Bragowa,
who was a dancer
during the 1920s.

Director of the Teatro
di Locarno, Philippe
Braunschweig, founder
of the Prix de Lausanne,
Malou Fenaroli Leclerc,
founder of the Swiss
Professional Ballet
School Foundation
(SBBS), Dr. Mario
Guglielmoni and Dr.
Armin Zucker, lawyers.
- Mrs Ruth Suter
used to be the General
Secretary of the
Pierino Ambrosoli
Foundation from the
foundation 1990 until
December 1996.
Purpose
The Pierino Ambrosoli
Foundation, an institution
created for the promotion
of professional dancers
and musicians, sponsors
young artistes who
are on their way
to becoming fully-fledged
performers.
- Supports young,
talented dancers
and musicians with
scholarships/grants
for study at recognised
schools all over
the world.
- Carefully examines
the talent, suitability
and needs of scholarship
applicants.
- Supports graduated
dance students in
their first year
of apprenticeship
at theatres/dance
companies.
- Contributes to
musicians and to
young choreographers
in their projects
and performances.
- Acts as a mediator
for auditions for
international juries
and competitions.
- Cooperates with
other organizations,
institutions, dance
schools and theatres.
- Offers personal
contact and care
for scholarships/grants
recipients of the
Pierino Ambrosoli
Foundation in cases
of necessity.
